Umzimkhulu River - Port Shepstone
We are proud and honoured to announce Spillers Waterfront, a beautifully renovated and restored building which was originally one of Port Shepstone's first power stations in the 1930s, as our host for the kayak racing leg of our Adrenaline Series.
Launching from the immaculately maintained concrete slipway, competitors will paddle up the mighty Umzimkhulu river, cheered on by the constant birdsong of an incredible variety of bird species. The race is designed as an out-and-back 20km route, giving serious paddlers an opportunity to get their distance in whilst still remaining very achievable for beginner and novice athletes.
Prepare to be captivated and enthralled by the beautiful views of the gorge as you paddle up the mighty Umzimkhulu.
Limited numbers of kayaks will be avaliable for hire from Mark Lawlor of Kayak Trips (082 376 3776).
